Can You Guess What McDonald’s Food Item This Is?
Say hello to mechanically separated chicken. It’s what all fast-food chicken is made – things like chicken nuggets and patties. Also, the processed frozen chicken in the stores is made from it.
Basically, the entire chicken is smashed and pressed through a sieve — bones, eyes, guts, and all. it comes out looking like this.
There’s more: because it’s crawling with bacteria, it will be washed with ammonia, soaked in it, actually. Then, because it tastes gross, it will be reflavored artificially. Then, because it is weirdly pink, it will be dyed with artificial color.EWWWWW EWWW EWWW. Just another reason to either stop eating DISGUSTING fast food or become a vegetarian!
“It’s what all fast-food chicken is made”…. of I suppose was the next word?
Quite possibly the grossest thing I have ever seen.
this makes me so happy

This is my first tattoo, its the intro phrase to “For The Love Of God” by Steve Vai. Music is and will forever be a huge part of my life and this is the song that, when I first listened to it, really inspired me to take my music more seriously for all the instruments I play.
I got this done for my 16th birthday last year by Johnny at Johnny Eagle Tattoos in West Milford, New Jersey and I love it.
So…. a triplet is basically 3 notes compressed in the time of 2 eighth notes which is equivalent to 1 quarter note. The 4/4 time signature states that there are 4 beats per bar which means there should be 4 quarter notes per bar (or the equivalent). The first bar is basically 1 quarter note, which is excusable because it’s the first bar, it can be a pick-up. However there is a double bar line in the second bar which states that it’s the end of the song. The second bar is a sixteenth note, an eighth note, and a dotted quarter note. The dot on the quarter note means that it’s half of the quarter note, so it means that it’s played for one quarter plus half of the quarter which is an eighth. Because there is an eighth note present we can add the dot to that and it becomes 2 eighth notes which makes 1 quarter. So now we have 2 quarters, but there is one sixteenth note. So…. if the bar that was splitting the two measures weren’t there we’d have 3 quarter notes and a sixteenth note, but it wouldn’t make any sense because the time sig is 4/4 and there is only 3 beats in the bar. It could be 3/4, but it’s not a waltz.
As a musician I can appreciate the sentiment of this tattoo, but it’s unfortunate that there’s a bit of a “lost in translation” issue on the timing. Whatever book this was transcribed from, I would recommend getting your money back. If you transcribed it yourself, well…I would be a little more careful next time, I guess.
I hate to shit on someone’s tattoo, cause I know how personal they can be but this is like getting a word misspelled. If you’re going to get a musical phrase tattooed I would just recommend doing a lot of research, maybe double/triple cross referencing.
Minor nerdy correction on the above regarding the notation - the triplets are made up of quarter notes so the first bar would be two beats. Meaning the second bar would be 2 and 1/4, for a total of 4 1/4 beats over two bars of 4/4 (which should have 8 beats). Seems to me like this should be one bar of 4/4 and the sixteenth note should be a grace note.
